Peachtree City Golf Cart/Pedestrian Bridge over Georgia Highway 74 Location: Peachtree City, Georgia Owner/Customer: City of Peachtree City and Georgia Department of Transportation Project Description: Construction of a new 295 foot long golf cart/ pedestrian bridge spanning State Route 74, a busy four-lane highway and a CSX rail line--end spans were constructed on end bent piers with pre-stressed AASHTO concrete beams and the 195 ft. center section is a steel truss with a camber of more than one foot supported on two intermediate bent piers with two columns each. |
