Macon County Dam Location: Whitewater Park, Macon County, Georgia Owner/Customer: Macon County Board of Commissioners/Schnabel Engineering Designer: Stantec Consulting Services and Schnabel Engineering Associates Project Description: Construction of new precast panels to raise the existing lake elevation and additional 1'-6" to help improve recreation services offered at Whitewater Park; project required the installation of approximately 1,500 linear feet of precast panels on top of an existing labyrinth spillway; installation required pre-drilling stainless steel threaded rods and installing epoxy dowels to match the panel layout patterns for the dowels - tolerances for this process were critical in insuring that the panels fit properly during installation. |
